CPAA Members' Children Eligible for National Scholarship

If you work in CPS and are a member of CPAA then your son or daughter is eligible for a $2,500 Diann Woodard National Scholarship if he or she is attending college for the first time in 2019.

I would be especially honored if the son or daughter of a CPAA member won this scholarship named for Diann Woodard. Diann is the late President of the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA). CPAA is a local of AFSA (Local 2). When I was elected President of CPAA in 2016, President Woodard flew to Chicago with her executive staff to discuss how the national organization could support school leaders here in Chicago. Since Diann's sudden passing in 2018 AFSA's new president, Ernest Logan, has continued the support of our work here in Chicago started by his predecessor, and worked to rename this longstanding AFSA scholarship in honor of President Woodard.
