Thank you to the principals and assistant principals who participated in the Elected School Board Forums last week. It was crucial for laying the groundwork for inclusion after the elections. We must ensure that our collective voices are heard, and CPAA is here to represent that voice. Board members must also recognize that to effectively understand the needs of the districts they serve, they need to maintain open and regular communication with principals and assistant principals. The forums went a long way to illustrate those facts. Each forum was well attended and many candidates showed up to both, noting that they were the only forums of its kind. Candidates and school leaders expressed that they found them incredibly valuable.
We want to congratulate the candidates who won election for a seat on the board. We look forward to a strong collaboration with all stakeholders. Principals, assistant principals, board members, teachers, staff, parents... we do this work together. CPAA is proud to work alongside each and every one of you as we build a supportive, inclusive, and successful school environment for our students and communities.
